A dreamy stay at Parada Eco Camp
Parada Eco Camp is truly one of the most unique and serene places I’ve ever stayed. If you’re looking to escape the crowds and immerse yourself in nature, this is the perfect spot.
Location & Atmosphere
Nestled on a remote island, Iloc (a part of Palawan), Parada offers an off-the-grid experience while still feeling comfortable and connected (if you wish to be). The glamping tents are well-maintained, spacious, and positioned to give you a sense of privacy while being surrounded by lush greenery and stunning beach views.
We were lucky to spend time with the owners too. It’s a family run business and they treat each of their ‘campers’ like one of their own. They are always available, catering to every need and they make sure your experience is tailored exactly to your taste.
We are both very active so each day they suggested activities for us before it was too hot in the afternoon. We opted for their private island-hopping tour, which was an incredible experience. The boat crew was friendly, and we explored beautiful, untouched islands while enjoying snacks and cold drinks they provided. Jungle treks and village walks are also available and are a great way to connect with the local community.
You also have the opportunity to go fishing with the locals! Most afternoons, the son of the neighbour would come running around the corner with a bucket full of fish they had caught that morning. We were able to choose which one we wanted and the chefs would whip it up into THE BEST grilled fish I’ve ever tasted.
The atmosphere is made complete by the dogs 🫶🏼 Masha being a main character to the vibe 🫶🏼
Accommodation
The glamping tents are simple yet cozy, with comfortable beds and ambient lighting. Falling asleep to the sounds of the waves and waking up to birdsong was an absolute highlight of the stay. The shared facilities were clean and eco-friendly, which aligned perfectly with their sustainable approach.
Food & Dining
The camp serves freshly cooked meals, with an emphasis on local ingredients and fresh seafood. Dinner under a majestic mango tree with the sound of the waves in the background was unforgettable.
Don’t forget to look up after sunset, the milky way is waiting for you! 🌌
Things to Note
- The boat ride to the camp can take time, depending on the waves, so pack a waterproof bag for your valuables.
- The camp is remote, so stock up on any snacks or essentials before heading there.
- Bring reef-safe sunscreen and insect repellent.
- A refillable water bottle is a must there is a refill station on the camp.
Overall Experience
Parada Eco Camp offers the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation. It’s a place where you can disconnect from the chaos of the world and reconnect with nature. It’s also a perfect place to work remotely as the super fast starlink wifi keeps you connected if you want to be! The staff are so friendly, accommodating, and the owners are genuinely passionate about creating a memorable experience for every guest.
If you’re looking for a peaceful, eco-friendly retreat in Palawan, Parada Eco Camp should be at the top of your list. I already can’t wait to return.
